Village Signal doesn't require anyone to remember a new password or install an app to use.
It's also set up to not receive replies, so sending out a quick message to your area won't mean getting 200 messages back to think about.

Hi there, my name is Tobias!
I spent many years of my life out in a rural village (Maxwell, Nebraska, population 245) and absolutely loved the small quiet communities that hide just a ways off the interstate.
Although now I live in a bigger town (Omaha, almost a million people!) my love for small villages has never gone away: my own mother lives in a village of 109 people.
A while back my mom was elected to be on the Board of Trustees, and the village well was going to be down for maintenance. Of course she wanted to let everyone know in advance, but didn't have time to go knocking on all the doors.
I decided to build Village Signal for the small communities that I love that make up the heart of America, so people like my mother could easily let people know when anything important was happening.
If a simple snow storm knocks out power for a few days, or a bridge fails ... if a disaster strikes, big or small, I wanted a tool to easily let the community know, so I built Village Signal!
